Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful acting in films. Her popularity is shared by both Canadian as well as American TV. Emily became interested in the acting profession when she was just 12. When she was 12, Emily visited her elder sister Katie in the film studio. Once she discovered her passion in the world of acting, Emily enrolled in classes to learn about it and started to audition. She was initially cast in commercials for a few minutes before receiving a callback for the Canadian television show for children Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? There was just one scene in which she did not talk. In the year 15 she got her big break as she was an actor on the WB program Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily can also be a dancer, a photographer and was named as one of Teen's top 20 actresses. In Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her at top 51.
