Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey is the largest child in a family of four. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for acting and drama on a young stage. This support was more than enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a an animal scientist. As a young woman, her rise to stardom was quick and accompanied by the beginning of her recognition and success. The beginning of her career came in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was born into the context of a Catholic family and attended her church even though she went to school at The Institut Catholique de Paris. She pursued a career in modeling in addition to her acting work and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting profession she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. Through her photography, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her during her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's very first major part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed the actress international fame. Amelie won international acclai the box office and was acclaimed at awards ceremonies all over the world. The film is still the most successful French language movie in the US. Later, in the same year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
