April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began with guitar and piano in seventh grade. This sparked the interest of her. At the age of seven, April began taking guitar and piano classes. This ignited her interest in writing songs. When she was 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musicianship skills. In the following months, April started to take trips across NY and LA along with her dad to help them compose songs. April began including other topics in the book, Take My Hand, for those of her peers who struggled with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart has her own fan base and is an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Lockhart was born with no left hand. It's part of her story, but that's not the entire story. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on her Instagram account, but she doesn't make it the focus of the post. It's a message. It's important to keep in mind that everyone has numerous faces. Our identities are varied and we are much greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart in a video interview "I am not convinced that my physical appearance will define my character. My goal is not to influence disability, because I've so much more to offer." This doesn't have any effect on my day-to-day life I do every day as normal and have found my own way to adjust things. Since it's a part of who I am It's a topic worthy of discussion. Lockhart is a true source of motivation for self-acceptance generally and is currently on a lengthy road to reach it. Lockhart admits to having been through times when she felt uncomfortable in wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post photos in those outfits to social media with pride. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I do not think that you will ever be in that place," she said. But, this isn't typical for people that is prone to doubts. I believe that it's really important to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
