Laura Linney is an American actor, who became well-known for her performance of strong but vulnerable characters. While working as a summer intern at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated with the theatre. Later, at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. She began her Broadway career after her graduation in the year 2000, before making her debut on television the following year. Since then, she has appeared involved in numerous films, television productions and stage shows. In her professional career, she has won several awards, among them the two Golden Globe Awards. Yet, despite all the awards she has received acting has been her primary passion and she has continued to appear both on stage and screen.
