Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office For her role, she won an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by the Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother, Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her a passion for theater.
She's a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. Then, she starred in Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the co-star of Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's published two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her journey to Hollywood as a working actor and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, which is a story of the greatest friendship they had as well as their experience watching The Office.
